Artist Statement

THE ARTISTIC GROWTH OF MY WORK

My work revolves between figurative and abstract.  My abstract paintings challenge my ability to be creative, fresh, and look outside the box.

My current artistic vision will continue in the same format which I have been expressing for the past year.

I work at the different points of view, my perspective varies from looking straight ahead, up and down upon the subject matter.

How to meet my goals:

I experiment with various forms of texture in my work, drywall mud, clay, fabrics, and stones are some of the materials used in my paintings.

I recently completed an Artist in Residency at the Hotel Art Ovation and I will be hanging a yearlong exhibition at the Hotel beginning September 6, 2022 and at Ligon Fine Art Gallery in Sarasota, FL.
